No Mayo this week and everyone is happy to have a week at home. Mom is feeling well and besides being tired from chasing Kaden & Vincent she is good. We've been going for walks every night and enjoying the days on the boat. Thanks for everything.

Hi Kathy-

The blog is great! Sounds like you are doing pretty good - know it is tough on you but with your family and friends support the road will be a little less bumpy.

Hang in there!! You're are always in our thoughts and prayers.

Love, Darlene

Heard your nurse Duane is pretty good. You'll have to hire him out.

Thanks for keeping us posted, Kris.

Kathy,

So glad to hear the treatments are going "as well as can be expected", i.e., you're not feeling sick from them. I was told by a neighbor lady in Calif. that they have made big changes to chemo treatment and it often does not cause nausea. Will pray that that continues for you.

Enjoy the Gr.Kids. They are so great. We'll have to swap stories if we get to visit in Sept.

God Bless. The prayers are flowing on this end.

Love
Susan

Hi Kathy-

Being a breast cancer survivor myself, 1 year, I would like to offer my support in any way. Even though family and friends are great, they really have no idea of what you are going through physically and emotionally. I also recommend finding a support group in your area. I am part of a wonderful support group, and we have women of all ages, and all stages of breast cancer. We talk about everything and have speakers come in from time to time to talk about nutrition, special message for people that no longer have had their lymph nodes removed, exercise, you name it. To find one in your area through a local hospital, church or you can sometimes find them by doing a search online, but the best way is by word of mouth.
Having gone through 4 rounds of chemo myself, I can definately give you some tips if you are having any problems. I had a hard time with my stomach, but managed to work the entire time. I also know of some great products to have your hair grow back faster.
There are many great books that were recommended to me that have really helped and opened my eyes to a whole world of health and wellness. 2 good ones are: Outsmart Your Cancer, by Tanya Harder Pierce, and Painless Cures & Preventions Your Doctor May Not Be Aware Of by Deanna K. Loftis, R.N., B.B.A. 2 websites to look at are www.cancerfightingstrategies.org and www.cancure.org/cancer_fighting_foods.html
Feel free to call me anytime 734-417-0599.

Good Luck! Sandi Patterson

Hi Kathy,
We all survived Deerpath another year. Happy you're getting time with Kim & the g-kids. Think you probably know JoAnn's at St Marys. I'll stop to see her mid-week unless Shelley needs me to go sooner. Praying for the whole family. Love, Mary
